ABOUT US
Leslie's House was born out of the concern for single women in the High Point community. Prior to the construction of Leslie's House, there were very few safe places for homeless women to stay in Guilford County. Concerned citizens worked together to raise the funds necessary to build a beautiful home for women in need of shelter.
Today, Leslie's House offers 22 emergency shelter beds, hot meals, toiletries, case management, Life Skills classes and most importantly, hope. Residents have a safe place to stay while stabilizing their lives and making plans for their future.
Residents meet with the Leslie's House Case Manager to determine their plan of action. The Case Manager makes residents aware of available resources, and aids them in navigating the path towards permanent housing.
Our Partner Agencies: Leslie's House partners with many community agencies including: High Point Community Clinic, Welfare Reform Liaison Project, Caring Services, Consumer Credit Counseling, Guilford County Mental Health, High Point Housing Authority, Housing First, Housing Stabilization Program, Job Link, Open Door Ministries, The Salvation Army, United Way of Greater High Point, and YWCA of Greater High Point.
